It all started with a wedding! After searching for the perfect invitation design for her wedding back in 2010, Amber decided that the only way that she could have what she envisioned was to create it herself. Once her wedding planner found out that she had created her own invitations she hired her to create invitations for one of her events and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiatic. That November, in Long Beach, California, Adaria Designs by ahd was born.
Driven by a love of beautiful words, art, and the desire to make people smile Adaria Designs by ahd went from a one woman show working out of a tiny home office to a family of creatives. Since its inception we've had the pleasure of designing for large and small events; bloggers, bakers, and brides all across the globe. From wedding announcements to baby shower invitations to custom greeting cards, Adaria Designs by ahd offers a variety of elegant, fun and unique stationery options. We offer fully customized and semi-customized options for all of life's events as well as pre-packaged designs for those who want to leave the guess work to us. Whichever suits you, we are here to bring your stationery dreams to life!
Custom and semi-custom orders begin with an initial phone, email, Skype/Facetime or face-to face consultation and usually take about 6-8 weeks to complete so we suggest ordering your invitations at least four months prior to your event. We do accept a limited amount of rush orders so please contact us if you are interested. However, please be note that a rush order fee will be applied. Prepackaged designs for various occasions are based on availability.
Once you have chosen Adaria Designs by ahd to create the invitations for your event we send you an proposal where you can choose the items that best fit your stationery vision. We require an initial design deposit of $200 (which will be applied towards the total amount of your order) as a signed contract to begin working. The remainder of the balance is broken up into installments depending on the scope of your work with the final portion due 7 days before you receive your product. We will send you a picture and/or electronic sample of your order via email within 7 days of receiving your deposit and signed contract. Feel free to contact us anytime with questions or updates.
Once you have approved the design you will then be asked to approve all text and details. PLEASE NOTE: Though we do our very best to ensure that spelling and grammar are correct it is the client's responsibility to make sure that ALL details related to project are included, spelled and worded correctly. Any changes made after approval is received by the client will be subject to a reprint/redesign fee.
Due to the custom nature of our work we do not issue refunds and the initial deposit is non-refundable. Each piece designed may vary slightly even within the same order.
